About The Event

This event will be postponed until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience, if you have purchased a ticket, you will be refunded.

We are happy to announce that March’s event will be back in person at Koi!

What better way to celebrate being back in our community than by hosting a discussion on a phrase we heard a lot over the pandemic: ‘support local’. But Amazon is so easy, right? The word ‘local’ can mean different things to each retailer, consumer, and business owner. Join us to explore the various angles of this push to be more local, including aspects such as the economy and neighborhood connectedness, shipping and packaging, financial constraints, consumer perception, and regulatory requirements.

Including special guests speakers:

- Erin Penosky @ Koi Calgary

- Philip Lozano @ Be Local

- Erin Chrusch @ City of Calgary's Business and Local Economy group

- Alice Lam @ Volly/Community Fridges/Good Neighbour Market
