Join CEP Calgary in a lunch-time moderated panel webinar with a variety of experts to explore the various angles of this push to be more local, including aspects such as the economy and neighbourhood connectedness, shipping and packaging, financial constraints, consumer perception, and regulatory requirements.

Erin Chrush

Erin Chrusch is the Leader, Business & Local Economy at The City of Calgary. The mission of the Business & Local Economy team is to support local businesses through innovative service delivery. Some of their initiatives include the Support Local marketing campaign, ShopHERE, and the Digital Service Squad. Prior to leading this team, Erin was involved in policy development and issues management as a Senior Strategist in the Office of former Mayor Naheed Nenshi. In 2021, Erin was the Program Manager for the Mayor’s Innovation Challenge, where creative thinkers from around the world were invited to submit their ideas on how The City could advance innovative energy solutions on its path to Net Zero. Erin lives with her spouse, their three children and 17-year-old Bichon Shih Tzu in NW Calgary.

Carol Yan 

Carol is a dynamic and recognized leader with over 10 years of experience, helping Fortune 500 companies, in oil and gas, engineering and construction firms, and industrial manufacturing innovate, and prepare for the energy transition.

Carol works at the nexus of fusing business strategy, value orchestration, experience design, data and analytics, emerging technologies – such as AI, blockchain, IOT, robotics – all enabled by cloud computing, hyperscaler (AWS, Azure) and ISV partnerships translating to innovative, first-of-a-kind capabilities in the front and back office.

Carol is a regular public speaker on topics including energy transition, design and technology

convergence, digital transformation, at world class institutions including Mobile World Congress, IBM’s Think Conferences, Columbia Business School and Parson’s School of Design.
