About The Event

Urban farming is about more than growing food. Across Calgary, community gardens, urban farms, and local food initiatives are helping build stronger communities, support climate resilience, and increase access to fresh, local food.

Join CEP Calgary for a panel discussion on the opportunities and challenges of urban farming in Calgary. Hear from Derek Leahy (Rural Routes to Climate Solutions) and Jack Goodwin (Vacant Lots Farm Club), as they share their experiences and perspectives on local food production, community development, urban planning, and the future of urban agriculture in our city.

This is a great opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with others interested in creating a more resilient Calgary. It is also a valuable chance to engage with professionals and practitioners working at the intersection of urban agriculture, sustainability, and community development.
